Seven churches in the Potwin and Whitewater area participated in a community VBS June 2-6. The churches participating were Potwin UMC, Furley UMC, Potwin Christian, Potwin Emmaus, Swiss, Federated and Grace Baptist of Whitewater.

Rev. Ken Trickle and his wife, Mary Anne, are optimistic after a tornado damaged Chapman UMC and destroyed the parsonage June 11. The congregation is holding worship services in the church’s fellowship hall, which sustained some damage but has been cleared to meet in on a temporary basis.
