Hutchinson District Committee on Ordained Ministry: composed of six clergy and four lay members of district churches. Its purpose is to examine candidates for ministry, monitor their educational progress, recommend them to the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry, and conduct an annual review of local pastor's ministry and professional growth. Hutchinson District Committee on Lay Speaking: provides basic training for local church lay speakers and advanced courses for certified lay speakers. It decides on the qualifications of those to be recognized as lay speakers and seeks to help match speakers with service opportunities. Hutchinson District Board of Church Location and Building: makes an objective examination of all purchases, sales and/or building plans for churches in the District, including a review of the need, location, adequacy, energy efficiency and funding plans of any proposed action. Hutchinson District Committee on Superintendency: composed of 11 members of whom at least three are clergy and seven are lay. Its purpose is to observe, evaluate and give feedback of the Disrict Superintendent's ministry and to keep the Superintendent advised of conditions, issues and opportunities within the district.
