Mission Fest celebrates the importance of our shared missions as United Methodists. The events will bring congregations face-to-face with those serving missions on our behalf and help individuals discover opportunities to serve in mission locally and globally.
We are called as disciples to live out our call in misison to our communities, state, nation and world through gifts of time, service and financial resources.
The challenge will end with a day of celebration in Garden City Nov. 10 and another in Newton on Nov. 11. Guest speaker will be Dr. Thomas Kemper, general secretary for the General Board of Global Ministries.

Youth and adults across the annual conference are challenged to raise funds for six mission projects by collecting 100,000 pennies and 100,000 quarters by mid-November. The goal is to raise $26,000 to be split between six causes:
Mary Lou Reece, wife of Bishop Scott Jones, is team captain for the adults. Bishop Scott Jones is team captain for the youth. Who will lead their team to victory?
