The Kansas West Conference vision statement says that as we make disciples of Jesus Christ, we are called to INVITE through radical hospitality, EXCITE for intentional faith-sharing and UNITE in risk-taking mission for the transformation of the world.
This begins by welcoming. We are called to treat everyone we come in contact with as an honored member of God’s family.
Whether in a local church, at an event or on the street, the opportunities are endless to help those we encounter to experience Christ’s hospitality and love.
Resources you and your congregation can use to extend this welcome are available from the United Methodist Communications Web site.

Open House Month
By vote of the Kansas West Annual Conference, September is designated as Open House Month. Hosting special events, worship festivals or making other efforts to welcome those in your community are opportunities to intentionally share Christ's love with everyone.
