Understanding HealthFlex's Prescription Drug Plan - 2010

Health Flex has partnered with Medco to establish a dedicated customer service call center to help HealthFlex participants understand details about their 2010 prescription drug coverage. This special customer service unit will be available November 4 (the start of 2010 HealthFlex Annual election) through December 31, 2009. (Remember: Annual Election ends November 19.)

Medco customer service representatives can answer the following types of questions:

  • What is my prescription drug benefit plan design effective January 1, 2010?
  • What will I pay as of January 1, 2010 for the medications I am currently taking?
  • What will my deductible and out-of-pocket maximum be in 2010?
  • Are there quantity limits on any of the medications that I currently take?
  • Do any of my medications require a prior authorization?
  • What telephone number can my physician call to initiate a prior authorization, if required?
  • Is my medication covered under Medco's formulary or is it considered a non-preferred drug?
  • Is my retail pharmacy a network provider?
  • Are any of my medications subject to the Retail Refill Allowance?*

Important: If you are trying to calculate your estimated 2010 out-of-pocket expenses for the Medical Reimbrsement Account (MRA), you must make this election before the Annual Election period ends (November 19).
