When a young family moves into a rural community, a church will step forward to welcome them. The Scandia UMC did just that with Jeff and Jessica Hazen and their two small children, Kodie, 3, and Tucker, 1.
Jeff and Jessica joined our church several months ago and have become active participants in worship and, even, helping with VBS.
This past week, they moved into a different house and needed help, so at 8 a.m., twelve of us arrived with trucks, trailers, vans, and cars to accomplish the job.
By 11:30, the move was complete (except for the "putting away") and we went to the church for lunch. Scandia UMC loves its neighbors.
