The training is designed for people who would like to teach Good $ense financial courses in their local churches. The sessions will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Good $ense ministry provides practical tools to address the challenging topic of finances in a grace-filled, life-giving way. The hands-on course teaches how to honor God by becoming a diligent earner, generous giver, wise saver, cautious debtor and prudent consumer.
Rev. David Bell, vice president of Stewardship with The United Methodist Foundation of Michigan, will conduct the training, which is presented by the Kansas Area United Methodist Foundation and the Kansas West and East conferences’ boards of discipleship.
The registration fee is $75 for first registrant and $25 for each additional person from the same church. Each church receives the Good $ense Leader’s Guide. Every registrant will receive the Budget Course Participant’s Guide, continental breakfast, lunch and snacks.
The registration deadline is Oct. 19.
