Clay Center UMC burns mortgage
CLAY CENTER�The Clay Center United Methodist Church celebrated the burning of the mortgage for their Family Life Center at a dedication service entitled �Celebrate the Building Spirit� Aug. 19. The Family Life Center building is part of the church�s mission of expanding ministries within the church and the local community.
With more than 200 people in attendance, the six-year-old facility was dedicated with many special guests present including Salina District Superintendent Rev. Terry Turner, Rev. Bob Baer, who was pastor during the building project, and Rev. Glenn Tombaugh, the current pastor. Bishop Scott Jones sent a congratulatory video greeting, which was viewed during the celebration.
